Overview of a Technical Framer Website Fix Case Study
I had the opportunity to collaborate with Uncommon Insights, a forward-thinking research and strategy consultancy, to solve a unique technical challenge within their Framer site. Their team needed to display two separate CMS collections on a single blog page—something Framer doesn’t natively support. I was brought in to implement a custom solution that would not only bring this functionality to life but also ensure everything was technically sound from an SEO and indexing perspective. The result was a seamless integration of content on the front end, paired with carefully optimised meta data and structured markup in the backend—allowing the site to grow without sacrificing discoverability or performance.
Strategy and Fixes for Uncommon Insights
Strategy & Implementation
Uncommon Insights approached me with a specific technical challenge that was limiting the functionality of their blog in Framer. Their goal was to display two separate CMS collections on a single page—a capability that isn't supported natively by Framer's CMS functionality.
I was brought in to create a custom solution that would not only stitch these collections together seamlessly on the frontend but also maintain structural and SEO integrity on the backend.
To deliver this, I:
Implemented a workaround to combine two CMS collections into a single blog view
Adjusted Framer's custom code integrations to ensure smooth page rendering and consistent design output
Updated meta properties including
og:url
and JSON-LD schema IDs to maintain correct indexing and link structure across search enginesVerified that each individual blog post retained a unique, crawlable URL for proper discoverability
Key Outcomes
Successfully resolved a complex CMS limitation in Framer, allowing multiple dynamic content types to coexist on a single blog page
Ensured that the solution met technical SEO best practices, helping protect the site’s organic visibility and crawlability
Enabled Uncommon Insights to scale their content strategy without being limited by platform constraints
Lasting Value
This project demonstrated how tailored, behind-the-scenes problem solving can unlock powerful functionality on no-code platforms like Framer. By going beyond the design layer and into the technical structure, I helped future-proof the site while allowing the content team at Uncommon Insights to work more flexibly and efficiently.
What began as a platform constraint became an opportunity to make the site more scalable, indexable, and technically robust—all without compromising design or performance.
